What the programme covers
- The transition. From doing the work to getting work done through others.
- Delegation. What to delegate, to whom, how clearly, and how to follow up without hovering.
- Accountability. Setting expectations, agreeing measures and following up fairly.
- Feedback. Giving specific, timely feedback, including when it is hard to hear.
- Coaching conversations. Asking questions that help people think, instead of always giving the answer.
- Motivation. Understanding what moves different people on your team.
- Decisions. Making and explaining decisions with incomplete information.
- Managing your time. Priorities, interruptions and protecting time for the important work.

How we deliver it
A mix of short inputs, cases from the participants' own workplace, role-plays, peer discussion and action plans. Between sessions, participants try one or two behaviours with their teams and bring back what happened. Programmes work best as a series of shorter sessions rather than a single long day.
